Welcome to
Winlaton Evangelical Church

Are you looking for a church in the area? We are a group of local Christians, mainly from Winlaton and the surrounding villages, who meet together every week to worship God. We’re still a small gathering, but we’re a diversity of ages, backgrounds and personalities, and we hope you will find us a warm and welcoming group.

Here at WEC, we are united in the belief that Jesus Christ is God and King, and that He alone is the answer to the world’s most serious crises: sin, death and judgement.

Michael Taylor, Pastor at WEC

Sunday worship

We meet weekly to worship Him, celebrating His life, death, resurrection and ascension, and applying His word to our lives. We sing hymns and psalms, pray together, and hear the Bible clearly and relevantly explained.

  • Sunday 10:30amMorning service
  • Sunday 5:00pmEvening service
  • Thursday 7–8pmMidweek Bible study

A new chapter

Autumn 2023 marked the beginning of a new chapter at WEC. In October that year, David Harrison retired as pastor, having faithfully served the church for more than thirty years. Since then, the church has been supported by Newcastle Reformed Evangelical Church, in Benton. Several local families have joined the group at Winlaton, along with a new pastor.

We don’t know what the future holds for Winlaton, but we do believe in a powerful God.

Why not visit us?

Whether you’re a Christian or not, whether you are familiar with church or not, whatever your past experience may be, you’d be very welcome to join us.

We also meet for midweek Bible study on Thursdays, 7–8pm.
